Liz as she is today.
Hi
Two Carry-On actresses I really liked were Joan Sims and Liz Fraser. Joan was a remarkable actress. I agree with Barbara Windsors assessment of her. She could play both drab and glamour. In Doctor In The House and Carry On Nurse she appeared rather plain, but in Nurse On Wheels, Carry On Regardless and Carry On Camping she was very beautiful. In fact IMO, though COC was famous for Windsor's bikini to exploding off her chest, I thought Joan was the more attractive of the two in that particular film.
In recent years Joan did the sit-com On The Up with Dennis Waterman, As Time Goes By with Judi Dench and was one of The Blonde Bombshells in the drama/musical about a 40s girl band reuniting in the 90s.
Liz was a glam blonde in many a good film. She played Peter Sellers daughter in I'm Alright Jack, then his girlfriend in Two Way Stretch.
Her good Carry-Ons were Carry On Cabbie with Kenneth Conner and Carry On Cruising. She also supported Julie Andrews in what was IMO Julie's best film The Americanization Of Emily.
Liz isn't seen much these days, but made a great guest appearence in The Last Of The Summer Wine, playing Bill Owen's Compo's secret girlfriend, who turned up for his funeral in in posh frock, but driving a tractor, in a tribute show to the late actor.
As the saying goes
The girl still looks good!
