name='Amethyst_Isle']Well Bats she is dubbed in DMCL as the mouth is not in sync with the voice,it is so obvious when you hear it,it is even worse when she says the word "relax".

Can anyone else hear the difference ?

    It looks dubbed to me.

I could only watch about a minute of the clip, they were both so grating, I wanted the car to blow up.

Check out Peter Fonda's truckin' walk at the beginning of the clip!

I get the impression that dubbing is pretty much accepted as 'normal' outside the English/American axis because nobody speaks the same language anyway.

Actors would often be dubbed by the same voice in each country I believe, so their 'voice' stayed the same. Heinz Drache was frequently the German voice of Patrick McGoohan, for instance.

I would imagine all 'location' footage is dubbed isn't it?

The complete replacement of an actor's voice must be governed by Equity Rules surely?

I was watching some documentary on TV the other day but somebody had evidently decided that one particular voice had such an accent that it required sub-titles. Everyone was speaking 'English' but whenever this person spoke, little written words came up on-screen for the viewer to read. It felt almost rude - like somebody saying, "Oi you! Can't understand a bloody word"

It is out of sync at times, I agree, but so is Fonda's voice. I just put that down to bad post synching.
