    as a complete spin on actors playing teenagers ,what about actors who have played someone older than they actually are . clive dunn is the most obvious one ,i think hes only now the age he was meant to be in dads army playing corporal jones

    I don't think he's meant to be elderly in that - just older than Peggy Ashcroft who one one assumes is meant to be about 20. He's not greyed-up anyway.

    He's meant to be old enough to be mistaken for Peggy's dad and, regardless of whether he's greyed up or not, he looks like an old fogey.
