Pat Roach - Britmovie

I know Raiders of the Lost Ark was not a British film on the whole,but apart from funding from the United States and being directed by the Great Bearded one,it was more or less a British film.
Anyway,the Nepalese sherpa having a drinking battle with Marion (Karen Allen) was played by an actor called Pat Roach.
The brick outhouse fighting with Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) underneath the plane with engines in full throttle was also played by Pat Roach,but a different Pat Roach.
How does equity have two Pat Roaches in their books and how come two actors with the same name appear in the same film?
I know what happened to the second Pat Roach (he played Bomber in Auf Weidersehen, Pet!),but whatever happened to the first Pat Roach.

Are you sure it was a different Pat Roach?

The IMDb (a good but not perfect source of information) lists just one Pat Roach playing "Giant Sherpa / 1st Mechanic"

It doesn't happen often nowadays where two people with the same name appear in the same film - unless one of them isn't an actor.

If memory serves both parts are played by "Bomber" Pat Roach, hasn't he also appeared in others in the Indiana Jones series of films.

Talking of small parts I know that Stanley Baker's production company made The Italian Job, but where does he appear in the film, I must admit that despite watching it on numerous occasions I have yet to spot him.
Please put me out of my misery..

Thanks for your replies,
However,I am convinced there were two Pat Roaches:the Nepalese man was a burly,wiry haired man who had appeared many times on British television (I think he's from Yorkshire) and the mechanic was definately the future "Bomber".
I will have to have a quick peak at the DVD of Raiders' end credits.
I'll keep you tuned.

The character in the drinking contest with Karen Allen wasn't a Nepalese at all -- he was an "Australian Climber" played by Patrick Durkin. See here:

Pat Roach did play 2 parts in Raiders -- as a "Giant Sherpa" in that section of the film and later on as the German "1st Mechanic".

I thought Pat Roach had been in all the Indiana Jones films - and the IMDB confirms this.

"He appears in all three Indiana Jones films playing four different roles."

Does anyone else remember him as a wrestler?
