Her voice was dubbed in CARRY ON GIRLS (1973) by June Whitfield.

I wonder why?.It was so obvious it was June's.

That's always jarred with me too, as you say June's voice is so recognisable!

Valerie was at a loss too - although when asked a few years ago she claimed she didn't even realise. Perhaps Junes voice lent itself to being a bit more authoritive which Patricia Potter needed to be at the beginning of the film. Mysterious indeed though.

I have met Valerie on numerous occasions, she is still a very lovely lady, and charming to talk to. I enjoy all her work (yes, even Queen Kong, which she would like to forget). I don't understand why she was dubbed, Caroline Munro had the same thing on a couple of films. Maybe dubbing is a job for the producers niece....
