hi all does anyone know if leigh has passed away recently according to the bio of her husband ernest maxin leigh passed away on january 8th this year but there is no mention on this on leighs imdb page or anywhere else

I can confirm that my mother Leigh Madison sadly passed away on 8th January this year after a long illness. She had suffered from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) a rare and degenerative neurological condition which was diagnosed in 2006. (I do not know why there is no mention on Leigh's imdb page as this should have been updated.)

As for the IMDb they only add information when they're told things. They do check the national newspapers in various countries, but that's only to look for any internationally famous people that have died.



If you can refer to an obituary in any newspaper, even a fairly local one, then that can be used with a submission. Otherwise they'll need to see a scan of a death certificate. They did used to get some people submitting dates of death when the people were still alive so now they're more cautious
