Exactly......... a double-page spread actually !! Reading it was odd (to me) because there is no clue why she is *famous* and why her new flat should be of interest to the reader..........name='seeall']I don't think that is Katie on the cover. I think she appears in an article inside the magazine.
In other words Catherine Boyle was so bloody famous in 1955 that she didn't even require any explanation !!!!

Did n't Katie spend most of her TV career on panel games and presenting TV shows ? radio too of course.
She was a stunning lady and if things had taken a different turn she could have been a great actress
or maybe done lots of TV sitcoms... she had the looks and the personality.
Anthea Turner falls into the same category, she could have done sitcoms and lots of acting,
instead of endless TV and Lottery presenting !
Look at Penny Keith, she might have gone down the TV presenting/personality route
but instead she's got a ton of top TV sitcoms under her belt and lots of theatre too...
she's a legend !
I recently saw "Old Mother Riley, Headmistress"1950 on TV & several actresses
with familiar faces were in the cast. I'm sure one of them was a very young (& very
beautiful) Katie Boyle. However there is no mention of her involvement on IMDB.
She was billed as 'Catherine Carlton' in this film....Neither Boyle or Carlton is her real name.....
I only remember her TV Times letters column, and an appearance on Kenny Everett's show.
