WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THIS CHAP? HE NEARLY ALWAYS PLAYED THE 'GENTLEMAN' CROOK. I REMEMBER HIM 'STRANGLING' DIANA DORS IN ONE FILM!
ALSO THE CAST LIST FOR 'THE WAY TO THE STARS' OMITS DOUGLASS MONTGOMERY, WHO PLAYED THE 'HERO' OF THE FILM. THE UNKNOWN PILOT IN MICHAEL REDGRAVE'S POEM "JOHNNY" COULD HAVE APPLIED TO HIM, EVEN THOUGH THE POEM WAS WRITTEN BY REDGRAVE'S CHARACTER BEFORE THE AMERICANS ARRIVED AT THE AIRFIELD. [ 07. Here's a snippet taken from the Wicked Lady web
site discussion board, posted by a Mr Sean Barry-Weske:- PETER REYNOLDS "Another good friend of mine and a very good actor. When Diana Dors was in Hollywood, she phoned Peter to come over as there was plenty of work for his type of character. She also promised that with her influence, she would put him with the 'in-crowd'. He dutifully flew over only to find that she totally ignored him. He went back to England a broken man. He did a couple of movies in London, then went to Australia where he died tragically in a fire". |

Peter Reynolds was born in Wilmslow in 1925 and specialised in playing post-war spivs, shifty boy-friends and blackmailers. He left for Australia in the 60s and died in a fire in Melbourne in 1975

Many thanks to 'Rennie' and 'Hugo' for the info on Peter Reynolds. Another little snippet of information logged into the little grey cells!

Peter Reynolds (as has been said) excelled at shifty vilainy, but for years I didn't clock that it was he as the political anarchist in Peggy Cummins and Donald Sinden's house in YOUR MONEY OR YOUR WIFE.
