I used to love this lady on tv in the 1950s......

Diana Decker .......Star of THE VISE/MARK SABER on tv, and 1950s films such as THE BETRAYAL and IS YOUR HONEYMOON REALLY NECESSARY ?

View some clips of Diana here (these will greatly appeal to fans of 1950s nostalgia.....and of my fave Paul Carpenter)

    Diana hosts a film quiz:

British Pathe - FILM FANFARE - NO 22 SECTION 3

Diana sings: 'I'm in favour of Friendship'

    British Pathe - FILM FANFARE - NO 8 - part 1

[Uncle Mac played this as a request for me on 'Childrens Favourites' on the Light Prog ]

Diana sings: 'Willie Can' ('Willie can give a girl a thrill' ........?)

    British Pathe - FILM FANFARE - NO 7 - part 2

Film Fanfare - where have they been all my life? I presume they were originally shown on early ITV but are completely new to me. Where to start? Wonderfully stilted 'interviews' and fascinating footage of both studio and location shoots. I loved the sequence with David Farrar apparently showing us round his home and Man In The Sky on location.

Does anyone know what became of Diana Decker? I have just learnt that her real name was Isabella C D Decker and she married Aden Alfred Landeryou in 1948 who died in London in 1987. I can find no other information about her current whereabouts.

Check out the CD 'The Complete Diana Decker' (which isn't actually complete, incidentally). She contributed a sleevenote. I believe she was last living near Broadcasting House, possibly a longterm resident of a local hotel.
