I would be happy to read some news about RR, too.

    Best Regards

I've been doing a lot of research of Bobby Driscoll(I discovered a letter Bobby had written to Truman Capote a few weeks before his death now in the Carnegie Museum's Andy Warhol Collection; one of Bobby's paintings is in Wallace Berman Collection at The Hirschhorn Museum of Modern Art at the Smithsonian) and it has aroused curiousity in me as to the fate of other kids in his situation.

It sounds like Ronnie has done well for himself. Can you provide any information about his life after his 15 minutes were up?

Margaret Rutherford always reminded me of my Nana, so her portrayals have always been very special to me. "Her" Miss Marple Movies have always been memorable because they "got everything right". Inspector Craddock has always been one of my favorite characters. Ronnie is memorable because he is portrayed as intelligent, fearless and thoughful. Something which movies have found very difficult in portraying in adolescents.

If anyone is curious there is a picture of Bobby Driscoll from 1965/66 at Billy Names Website. Billy was Andy's official photographer, it is located in the portfolio section.

Loved reading the posts re Ronnie Raymond and so glad to know he is alive and well. Has there been any more news about him? I wish he would write a book or a magazine article or anything! How my sisters and I love the entire Miss Marple series - have watched them so many times we know the scripts by heart. Have bought all 3 books about Margaret Rutherford - took forever to find her autobiography and couldn't believe she barely mentioned the Miss Marple series. Mr. Raymond if you ever read this just know that you have so many fans who loved your work and miss you.

This was my first post - hope it wasn't too long.

This is my first time on the site, so will search for this, besides asking. Whatever happened to the actor Ronnie Raymond, who played the boy in MURDER SHE SAID, based on Agatha Christie's work. He was so very talented, but had such a limited career. jlapre

You say:- "he also dubbed the voice of the lead child in the "Village of the Damned".

How do you know he did Vil.o.t.Damned; where did you get that information from ? ( I realise the voice sounds the same, but that's not to say it's Ronnie )

(His voice, if it is his voice, in 'Murder She Said', sounds as if it's (all) been re dubbed for some reason) ( ? )

I guess he'll be about 58 now, assuming him to be about 14ish when he played 'Alexander' (my avatar photo) in Murder She Said 1961.

    See here for Marple Link

Long time in adding something to this thread, but I think both Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stephens were dubbed by Olive Gregg (!) in the films referred to.

Hi there first time posting...I've just discovered the fabulous movie "Murder She Said"
Margaret Rutherford truly wonderful to watch & my favorite Miss Marple. But the stand out
performance was Ronnie Raymond he was just a fantastic little actor. I'm happy to read from
previous posts that he has been doing well in these past years, was just wondering if anyone
has had any resent contact w/ him? It would be wonderful to hear some of his experiences in
his short though very memorable acting career & if he's still an undertaker.
Looking for any news thank you,
    A Moreno

My first post and I joined expecially for this thread (although, now I'm here, I shall definitely have a look around). :-)

Like others, I found this because I was hunting for info on Ronnie Raymond. It's been great to hear that he's doing well and to see a recent pic of him. I'm a devoted fan of Margaret Rutherford and watch her movies constantly.. never getting bored but Ronnie Raymonds performance in Murder She Said and the interaction between the two of them makes it one of my (if not THE) all-time favourites. Thanks everyone :-)

I looked up this thread tonight because I recently read that Ronnie Raymond's voice in Murder She Said had been dubbed and I wondered why this happened. That must have been difficult and I cannot imagine why they would go through the trouble. Maybe he had the wrong accent for the son of a Battle of Britain fighter ace.

First post on here as new member, after watching Murder she said and being a great fan of Margret Rutherford I just had to seek out Ronnie Raymond. What a joy to see him well on the picture of him today. I feel sure he must be thrilled to find people wanting to find out about himself. All the best to you Ronnie.
