I don't think it's Stanley Lebor, Howard from Ever Decreasing circles being rude to Jenny, unthinkable, Hilda would have denied him having a pollywadledodahallday for a week at least.

John Illingsworth(his only movie appearance) is credited with husband role(i don't know if that is also in the actual film)
