Pool of London...Adventure In The Hopfields...Alfie...there must be thousands...Film Man.
I am a big fan of London and come over two or three times a year and always I find it very interesting to see my favourite town in a movie. So maybe it would be of interest for some other moviefans to list old and new movies with London locations.
At the moment the following films are in my mind:
10 Rillington Place
Brannigan
Frenzy
Sherlock Holmes
Jack the Ripper (Michael Cane)
Any more ideas?
Pool of London...Adventure In The Hopfields...Alfie...there must be thousands...Film Man.
The 'Film Locations' section covers many of these.
Wasn't there a film of recent years with Ed Harris in it and a car chase scene on the streets of London, I only saw a minute or so of it and can't decipher what it is on IMDB..........any ideas please?
There's loads of films with London and inner London set locations.......
Vera Drake
Woman in a dressing gown
The Krays
The Sandwich man
Sparrows can't sing
Gangster no. 1
Basic Instinct 2
Robbery
Sweeney
Sweeney 2 (a particular fave)
You are all right. And indeed there are thousands of films - which I hadn't expected! I just browsed through IMDB (which I should have done before posting!). They list with filming location London exactly 7.875 titles.

Sabotage has my favourite London locations simply because it's the only Hitchcock film to feature (for a nanosecond) a building I used to work in![]()
The Boys( 1962) great period location scenes!
Ed Harris was in "National Treasure:Book of Secrets" shot partly in London.
