Little Voice - Lots of external shots of Scarborough. I was on holiday there during some of the filming.
The Comedy Playhouse episode "Pygmalion Smith" is Scarborough too.

Captain Jack (1999) with Bob Hoskins was shot in the area, although probably more Whitby than Scarborough.

Turn of the Tide was made in 1935 by Norman Walker. Its a superb film from a novel by Leo Walmsley and was filmed in Robin Hood's Bay.

Scarborough Ahoy (1995) might be worth a look - a short film about a day trip to the town starring Frances Barber. First show as part of C4's Red Triangle season I believe...

TOTT also uses Whitby Harbour renamed as Burnharbour. Whitby in particylar traded on the connection for years afterwards mentioning the film on postcards and general publicity material,
