Thanks Steve, just wanted to know for a label I'm designing for my copy of the film.
Confirmed Keif; an "A" certificate as written on my newspaper ads. If you really want to impress your readers, you can mentioned it lasted a mere 7 days on its premier engagement at the Ritz, Leicester Square London, between September 24 and September 30,1970.
It was followed into the Ritz by the X-certificate race-relations American police sherriff drama "Tick,Tick,Tick", and went on for its General Release to become that second film's support movie.
Interesting, in that it was one of not even a handful of films from Eric Till, its director.

tick... tick... tick... was in fact an A certificate. TICK...TICK...TICK... rated A by the BBFC
It had originally appeared as the support to Z (which I don't think many people came to see) and it propped up 'The Walking Stick' for the week it showed in Glasgow in 1971.

More likely I've got it mixed up with "The Klansman" with a very similar race/police theme a few years later.
Not only that, but The Walking Stick appeared to be the lead picture on its release generally, although 'regional supports vary' as they say.
Here's the ad., and you get a photo of THE walking stick also![]()
