Cast List Advice Please

As some on here will know by my username my late Father, did quite a few small parts on Tv and films from the 50s/90s and recently i have obtained an entire list of shows he was in, so i have been trying to obtain them, which is not easy as some are well delated and not on Dvd either , but have tried the BFI AND iMBD and there lists are not very extensive to the bit part actors

Anybody on here know any other sites i could try for a better cast and crew list



Any help will be most apprectiated , some of his small parts are blink and you miss him parts , ie he speaks 3 words in i was montys Double . but was Not on the Imbd list but Wa in the film, was also in Exdous but no credit there either,

To an extent, it could depend upon the productions your dad was in. Certain specialist websites often include more detail, e.g. science fiction/horror websites sometimes have information not found elsewhere.

Read the IMDb help page, I worked on a film but did not receive a screen credit. Can I be listed in the database?. Especially sections 2 & 6



To be listed at all in the IMDb a person must have at least one on-screen credit. This can be in the credit roll at the beginning or the end of the film or in a documentary can be when someone is introduced by name or by on-screen caption.



Once they have that first "credited" entry then they can try to get any other work listed.



But then note what it says in section 6:

For cast/acting appearances, you must be identifiable and featured on-screen in the final released cut of the film. In other words, it's not enough to have worked on a production: your scenes must be included in the final cut and it must be possible to easily identify your appearance (i.e. background work as a crowd member or a similar role where it's impossible to recognize the subject are not eligible). If you ended up on the cutting room floor, you are not eligible to be listed. We may ask you to supply evidence of this, so you should be prepared to provide photos/stills/screen grabs to verify that you are featured in the film.



Note that when they say "recognizable" they don't just mean recognizable by someone who knows them very well and would recognise the back of their head, they mean that the performer has to be easily recognizable and be clearly visible

My Italian uncle told me he was a crowd artist in the chariot race sequence in the 1959 Ben-Hur. He was also an Red Indian in an old movie about General Custer's Last Stand..............How can I get his credits listed on the IMDB ?

Why not tell us your dad's name and see if anyone remembers him. It's quite likely that some of the retired thesps on the board worked with him.

That's it! I knew he'd been mentioned somewhere He's got quite an impressive IMDB page - surely one of our tv experts remembers him?

If someone would like me to i can pm his entire cast list and directors he worked with

(dont really want to put all the directors names on an MB,and can do it better via Email

either that or if someone would pm me and i can send it to someone via post as can do a copy of it

i also have some photos as well, which could send copies if that helps ie one with Geroge Swell in Special branch (cooper called craven) i also have lots of vhs/dvds which somebody could uploaed if that helps
