Go up to "Tools" in your browser, click on "Options", go to "Privacy", and in the "Settings" button near where it says "Clearing History", tick the box next to "Cache."

I stay away from IMBD having been directed there a few times I came to the conclusion that it is an American site with only one reason for existing, to get money out of movie fans. It is a crass commercial outfit.

It came out of Cardiff University. I've spent many happy hours there and I've never felt any compuslion to give them money. I'm not even sure how you would do that However, it's presumably not free to maintain so it's not exactly unreasonable for them to make some money somewhere. Why is that a bad thing?

Yes, imdb has been a great source of free info for me too and directly has never cost me a penny however the films I've found via it have cost me a pretty penny or two but I really can't blame a website for my lack of restraint

I'm told some people also use it to help them in doing forum quizzes but I wouldn't know about that

Doesn't IMDb 'make' money through its affiliation with Amazon? (Or does Amazon own it outright now?). Either way I don't think it is raking in money from people who use it, and why should it?
