Which DVD set are we talking about here? I had a look on the Amazon site and the only sets that I could see were devoted to specific subjects, aviation, transport, railways etc. Is there a set devoted to the 60s? I already have the "Swinging 60s" DVD.

Yes, there is a 4disc set, with (I think) no repeats from the Swinging Sixties DVD. It's called 'Look at Life Volume 1 Transport'. If you search in Ebay with that title there is one for sale witha list of titles, 54 in all.

I'm waiting for this to be reduced as well. £35 upwards is a bit steep for me.

    This is the one:

Look at Life: Volume One - Transport [DVD]: Amazon.co.uk: DVD

    Catalogue Number: 7953154
    Region: 2 / PAL
    Subtitles: None
    Sound: Mono / English
    Picture: 1.33:1 / Colour
    Number of Discs: 4

Look at Life was a regular series of short documentary films produced in the
1960s by the Special Features Division of the Rank Organisation and screened
in their Odeon and Gaumont cinemas - replacing the circuit's newsreel,
Universal News, which had become largely irrelevant with the advent of
    television news broadcasts.

Marvellously concise and beautifully shot, these 'slice of life' colour
featurettes - numbering over 500 episodes in total - presented cinemagoers
with varied aspects of contemporary British life, and among the
documentaries included here are several that vividly capture the vibrancy
and optimism of the Swinging Sixties. Digitally restored from the original
film elements, this release compiles 54 memorable films which offer a
fascinating snapshot of transport in 1960s' Britain, with many unseen since
    their first screening.

Narrated by TIM TURNER, RAYMOND BAXTER, MICHAEL INGRAMS, EAMONN ANDREWS,
JOHN WITTY, ANNE MacEWEN and DUNCAN CARSE
