Hi everyone,
I have finally tracked down a DVD of the "lost' war film The Valiant from 1962. It is a pretty good recording in 16/9 widescreen from Italian TV.
However, the audio is in Italian!! Now, although a proper DVD release may happen in the future, the film having been shown last year by the BFI, in the meantime I would still like to be able to enjoy the film. So my first question is, are there any Italian speaking forum members capable of creating an English language .sbt file that can be added to the DVD?
My second question is about the original release. In the UK were the Italian speaking parts dubbed into English or did it have subtitles for these sections?
All help gratefully received
Paul
So you want someone to create a set of subtitles in English for the whole film?
Mug wanted - so you can bootleg this rare film on E-Bay ?
Name your fee ! (minimum £5,000...)
Well yes I do want English subtitles for the whole film, but I have no interest in selling copies, I would be happy to burn copies for anyone who wants them. Yes I suppose someone could make money, but that's not my aim. I have added English subtitles to French language films and it usually takes me about a day to create the file, but although I speak French I don't speak Italian.
I'm sorry if I have offended anyone, that was not my intention at all, and I don't have any spare funds to pay someone to do the work. I was just seeing if there was any way we could make this rare film watchable for all the people who have been searching for it for years.
For the record I have never sold a film anywhere. I am a buyer and film buff only, I have used Ebay and Ioffer to purchase films but any copies I have done for people have always been as trades or free of charge.
i have been after this film myself for ages. but i cant help.i can only just manage to send emails.
so good luck with it.
