The Big Pull. BBC TV 1960's

I am now in my dotage [ 60+]
Back in the 60's there was a fantastic Sci-Fi series on BBC TV called the 'The Big Pull'.
In 6 episodes[?]
I missed the last episode [ I went to a cricket match in Bath & didn't get back in time!]
The serial was never repeated & I never knew what happened at the end!!
Does anyone remember this awesome production, seemingly well ahead of it's time,
as it's not come to light on DVD.
Probably very past it's sell by date, but at the time on a par with the Quatermass productions, & a gripping story line.
I have always prided myself [ maybe arrogantly ] in appreciating quality productions, that sadly now seem to have vanished.
Also a mid 1960's play called 'Fable' [ with the brilliant Ronald Lacey] Utterly relevant today.
Any one remember Poliakoff's ' Stronger Than the Sun' (1970's)? Brilliant & now so topical.
Also a terrific series on TV in the 80's called 'Brond' [with Stratford Johns] fabulous.
Also 'The Devil's Lieutenant', a Euro production for TV from the 80's?
Whatever happened to these masterpieces??
Can anyone remember these wonderful productions, & why are none of them are available to view or assess now??

Stronger than the Sun still exists in the archives but not many single plays get released on DVD
Sadly the Big Pull no longer exists in the archives.

Is this the 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' type program, where people vanished but came back under alien influence?

If so, I've been trying to remember the name for ages, so thanks for that.

If my memory serves me, it ended by the main characters being 'taken over', with the inevitable outcome of alien success. So no happy ending.
