A Man Of No Importance (1994)
Albert Finney manages to mangle an Irish accent in this depressing picture of 1963 Dublin.

Has anyone mentioned No Hiding Place, Directed by Paul Rotha in 1951? I was his first assistant, Jack Causey was second.
Irish Hearts, 1934
I bet everyone knew I had to mention that one. :P
The Mackintosh Man - James Mason
We'll support you evermore - John Thaw
Hunger (2008)....Excellent film.
James Coburn as IRA man on the run get mixed up in a different revolution, lots of flashbacks and they were filmed at genuine Irish locations including the pub in Dublin where he blasts his best friend with a shotgun for giving in to torture and turning him in. The pub is still there and has changed little, apparently its a mecca for Leone fans.
I saw The Guard at the cinema recently, made in Ireland, a very funny script and great characters.
You should check out Kevin Rocket's The Irish Filmography if you haven't already. Published in 1997, its an exhaustive record of 'Irish' films.
