I have seen the film, as I have a copy of it. It is not one of my favourite films, neither is it (IMHO) particularly noteworthy. However, the plot is quite original and the acting is good. The settings are quite "moody", particularly emphasised because the film is in black and whilte.
It didn't keep me "on the edge of my chair" and I don't think I'll be watching it regularly, but it's good for a "Sunday afternoon" film and, let's face it, "It Always Rains on Sunday".
If you want my recommendation, I'd go for "The October Man" or "Cover Girl Killer" (if you can get hold of a copy, that is), or even "It Always Rains on Sunday". You can't go wrong with any of those.
