Default The Blue Unicorn?

Hi:

Can anyone help with info on a film called 'The Blue Unicorn' - could be from the
1930's/40's - not sure if this is the right title of the film, or if it was British?

It told the story of a woman who lost her husband when he was swept away when he feel into a mountain stream.

Thanks

Johnny

Maybe .... The film starts with an old lady telling the story, and she is holding a small model of a unicorn. It was a film that I watch with my mother one Sunday afternoon back in the 1960's.

I'm sure the old lady had lost two hubands/lovers? the same way - the edge gives way, then are swept away in a fast moving stream.

Yes, I know the music of 'The Glass Mountain' - wonderfull.

From that description I think it might be something else ... in TGM the husband is a pilot who crashes.

Bats.

I think so .... have done a 'search' with films titles containing 'Unicorn' but nothing.

Unless I have the fim name wrong?.... good film tho.... would like to see it again
(oneday!). Over the same weekend we watched 'Portrait Of Jenny' which I have obtained on DVD... but also seen it listed as 'Tidal Wave'.

Oh well... keep searching Johnny

Could it be "the White Unicorn" (1947)? Margaret Lockwood has a husband who drowns and the film starts with an older woman telling her story.

"I've come a long way you know!" "Equally long way to go back..."

Sounds like The White Unicorn to me.

Haven't seen it but with Margaret Lockwood, Joan Greenwood and Dennis Price it's bound to be quality entertainment.

Really!.... I've looked to see if it is available, alas it is not. I have only seen it once, as mentioned back in the 60's. Which location(s) were used?

Maybe it will become available in the future - hope so. My mother was a big fan of Margaret Lockwood.
