Hi ALL,
I've been searching the internet and old tv listing magazines for dates and times of screenings of the 1969 Battle of Britain film that where either shown on the BBC or ITV regions between 1980-1985,Hopefully this info will lead me to a date Im looking for in the early 80's,when Im sure I caught a screening in a hotelroom at Heathrow airport either on a Mon,tue or wed early evening.

How spooky my eldest Brother also called David lived on Elm road south, cheadle Heath from 1976-1986,where I use to go plane spotting in the late 70's and early 80's.
I think the answer to my question lies in an issue of the TV times London edition dated 12-19 sept 1981 which is hard to find.
I was told I was welcome to go to the BFI archive in london to research my quest but london is a bit far away at present, if Im ever down there I might just pop in, which I don't think will be soon.

Albert, as they say, it's a small world. Here's a tip that won't require you travelling all the way down to London. Click on eBay.co.uk and when the page loads, type in TV Times in the search window. There are many sellers on eBay who sell old TV Times, often from the London area. If you don't find what you want, send the seller a message through eBay and ask him if, by any chance, he has the particular issue you are looking for. You never know your luck. They often have far more copies in stock than they list on eBay.
