The Slag Borthers, Rock & Grabble?
The Creepy Coop
The Red Baron
Prof Pat Pending
The Ant Hill Mob
The Buzz Wagon
The Arkansas Chugabug

Wasn't the Ant Hill Mob's car called Chug a Boom?

.....You couldn't hear it, if they were shooting at me with howitzers!

The Arkansas Chug a Bug - crewed by a grass chewing Hillbilly who steered with his feet and his frightened sidekick bear - 'Quit moanin' Grizzly.'

Actually I preferred Catch that Pigeon.

The Bouldermobile, Slag Brothers, Rock & Gravel car 01
The Creepy Coupe, Little Gruesome and Big Gruesome, plus dragon, witch, ghost! 02
The Crimson Haybailer, The Red Max 04
The Convert-a-car, Prof Pat Pending 03
The Bullet-proof Bomb, The Ant Hill Mob: Clyde, Danny, Kurby, Mac, Ring-A-Ding, Rug Bug Benny, and Willy.07
The Buzz Wagon, Rufus Ruffcut & Sawtooth (the beaver) 1004
The Arkansas Chugabug, Luke & Blubber Bear 08
The Mean Machine, Dick Dastardley & Muttley 00
The Compact Pussycat, Penelope Pitstop 05
The Turboterrific, Peter Perfect 09
The Army Surplus Special, Private Meekly & Sergeant Blast 06

However, in The Perils of Penelope Pitstop, The Bullet-proof Bomb became 'alive' and was re-named 'Chuggaboom' and the mob's names changed.

I thought I knew them all by heart but on checking Wiki reminded myself about the Army Surplus Special, which I had forgotten about, and the Mob's names. I think I am right in suggesting that cars 05 and 04 are the only ones not names by the narrator in the intro titles?

You're right! The bear was called Blubber - the funniest crew in the races I thought.

I had no idea what the 'Sarge' was called...Meekly called him just that.
And it's:
The Buzz Wagon, Rufus Ruffcut & Sawtooth (the beaver) Car 10

I still maintain that Dicck D won fair and square when he was disqualified: the MM extended its nose out across the line but in one race Rufus Ruffcut extended his head out and won!

He was usually about ten miles in front of everyone else, with the finish line almost in sight, before he would stop and start cheating.

It's the devil within that does the most damage.......
