Question DVD quality of 'The Good Die Young' (1954)?

Not sure whether this is the right section, but I'm curious about the quality of a DVD, The Good Die Young (1954).

I've been meaning to pick up up the DVD for ages, but I'm wondering if the quality is any good? The cover of the DVD looks a bit slap-and-dash.

Anyone know what the quality is like, or maybe someone could post some random screenshots?

Cheers!

I picked this up at 'Poundland' (UK) for £1 ....Picture quality is not so good as the print used by Channel Four, with wobbly credits

It also has a very noticeable tape run near the start of the film but overall it's not too bad. The company that released this are Wienerworld and they have released some other Harvey films .... Silent Enemy, I Am A Camera and Three Men In A Boat. They appear to specialise in music dvds with film releases not high on their priority list. You can pick it up for a quid on Amazon.

Jingle bells Batman smells ... I heard that at school Daddy.

I remember the C4 showing was a good print. I was hoping it was the same one!

Thanks for your help, guys, I will pick it up, as I really love the film. Some of my favourite actors, and some great scenes. The pub scenes are great.

So, no VHS-rip?

(I am still traumatised by the Orbit Media Ltd DVD transfers...)

At Play.com for £ 9.99

...With the stunning Gloria Grahame, the -unnessesary- regular visitor of the plastic surgeon.
