I am currently trying to find information on an actor called John Forgeham. There seems to be no record of his date of birth in 1941 and I not sure if Forgeham is his stage name and he was born and registered under a different name. It is driving me insane as I have tried everything to get this information. Any help in this area would be fantastic.

John is alive and well. I knew him when he was on CROSSROADS in 1976. I believe he makes films in Hong Kong these days. He was born in 1941.

He was excellent as the villain's sidekick in the 2001 Jet Li film Kiss of the Dragon which was made in Paris. He also did quite a long stint in Footballer's Wives. You can probably get the details of his agent via Equity.

Thank you so much for that info - There is absolutely no listing of him ever being born in birth records - the only explanation I could think of is that Forgeham is his stage name

Well he's the father of Jason Forgeham and Jonesta Forgeham. So Forgeham might well be his real name but John might not be the first name he was born with.

What other Forgehams are listed? There can't be too many

Thanks for your reply! This started out as a simple task and has ended up as me becoming a part-time detective!!! There are no John Forgehams or Forgehams born in 1941. I have tried every avenue possible and I am very stubborn and a perfectionist and I can't give in until I have the info. But at the mo is just doesn't exist. I know he married actress Georgina Hale and then got divorced. She was born in 1943 but she is not listed as being born either. Is there a special census for actors etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have tried it though and it gives his name, date of birth, films etc. When you look on births for 1941 and I know he was born in Birmingham area there is no listing at all. I'm not sure if he was born with a different surname and changed it when he went into acting. I have spent hours looking for info on this actor and he has never been born. I started a media course and picked him to start with and have got no where!! I am a perfectionist and cannot let this go now even though it is driving me around the bend!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are absolutely no Forgehams born in 1941 anywhere! he doesn't exist!!!

He won a medal at RADA in 1963 under the name John Forgeham so if he's changed his age, it can't be by very much. But I can't trace any Forgehams who could be him either so it does look like he's changed his name.

Thanks for that info - I know that he was born in Birmingham because he also used to play football for Aston Football Club. I actually think that he has changed his name. I have checked a list of actors who have changed names and most of them seem to - just not found one for John Forgeham. I wish I could get to the bottom of this. But once I start something I just can't finish until I know I have all the correct info. I'm the same with my paintings - I could make a fortune but because I am such a perfectionist it takes me forever before I am satisfied and ready to sell!!

Think you are right, he has definately changed his name! not his age. I think I have an idea of the name he was given at birth! Still need to do a little more detective work first. He married Georgina Hale actress and she is not listed in the birth records either and having just looked on actors name changes it seems that they all just about change names. I am trying now to find info on his parents - not have much luck at mo! but I am determined and will keep digging.

There's a record for a Georgina Hale born in Wokingham in the second half of 1943 - might this be her? I know she's supposed to have been born in Ilford but she might have thought that sounded more lovably Cockernee?

Forgeham seems to be a very unusual name but there were a bunch of them in the Lichfield area back in the day so an actor from Birmingham looking for a different name might have seen it locally.
