Default What's the Most Remade Film?

Without recourse to reference material or the Net, does anybody know which three films have been remade the most?

"...the chairman of Littlewoods stores made a Keynote speech!"

I'd hazard a guess that DocRobertPepper is right, although maybe not in that order.

Wasn't Lassie played by a series of boy dogs rather than bitches, if you see what I mean?

The Cure For Insomnia (about 85hrs IIRC) which features somoeone reading a poem.

I remember reading about some bloke showing blank film for days on end to people, but as there was nothing on it I don't think it counts.

Longest film with a story is, I think, Chinese.

"Boom boom a baby .... Banham Zoo .... Banana pants! Hahahaha"

Correct. Lassie is a female character but all nine of the dogs who portrayed her have been male. Pal, born 20 June 1940 was the first.

Correct. 87 hours featuring L.D. Groban reading a poem.

What novel has had the most film and TV adaptations?
