Unhappy mannequin

I vaguely remember seeing an old film on tv ( probably 40,s film noir) that ended
with a live male mannequin getting shot in a shop window. Ring any bells anywhere?

I think it was one of either the Boston Blackie or The Falcon series. I have watched both of those series over the past months and that scene is definitely in one of them, but I can't remember which one as that is a combined total of nearly 30 films.

I think the film you remember is 'City that Never Sleeps' (1953) which was on BBC2 about 5-6 years ago. Not a bad little noir from what I remember.
