Thank you Harleybloke, I shall make a note to ignore any comments you may make in the future relating to comedy or laughter. Back to "The Long Dark Hall" - went IMDB and learned it's a Rex Harrison picture. The only review was a scathing one fro a very angry feminist. Any other opinions out there on this film ?

I have this film in my collection and have watched it once, some time ago. It has an excellent cast but in spite of this I didn't think it was all that. Rex Harrison plays a married man who has a mistress, the mistress is murdered, he is arrested but the real murderer is caught before he is hanged. It's worth a look just for the period feel, but it's not a forgotten gem I'm afraid.
