I bought the DVD recently and was rather impressed. Some terrific performances from the likes of Michael Craig, Kenneth Griffith, William Lucas & Billie Whitelaw. It's surprisingly violent in places, especially considering its age, but well worth watching in my view.

Ha! No, it was only released a few weeks ago, I think. Amazon have it for about £8.

Another of my favourites. Excellent film and very good performances from Billie Whitelaw and Michael Craig. Really good fast paced thriller, well worth watching if you haven't seen it, and if you have, worth watching again.

I bought a copy from Amazon.co.uk. Good quality recording. I thought the entire film was very believable and extremely dramatic. The settings were spot on and the plot wasn't predictable.

I would recommend it. Michael Craig was excellent as the bully without a conscience. (His performance was vaguely reminiscent of "House of Secrets")

It isn't an all-star cast, but perhaps that's what makes it more realistic; the actors appear just like ordinary people, which, in effect, is exactly what they were supposed to be in the film.

I think that given that it is set in Newcastle it is a bit odd that not one charcter speaks with a Geordie accent. Also i have to say that i found the last 15 minutes a bit far fetched.I am not sure that i accept Michael Craig as believable as the head of the gang.

Billie Whitelaw's performance as a quietly vengeful angel is stunning. An unappreciated classic.
