Default Kirk Douglas film

Iwonder if anybody can help.I was looking for a film I saw at the cinema in 1974 as a support to another film. I thought it was called Cat and mouse. It starred Kirk Douglas terrifing his ex wife.I looked it up on IMB and found what must be it only it says it was a tv film. Could it still be the one I saw at the cinema as it certainly sounds like it?

The film would be American financed and a lot of films made like that were given theatrical releases in this country that were made for TV in the states at that time. The all star David Copperfield made in the early 70s was in the same mode - UK cinemas and US TV.

That's the joke that killed the Music Hall

I have this one on a DVD r somewhere. It was made in Canada, financed in part by EMI,great movie with a brilliant lead performance as Douglas, one of his best movies. The main theme was as i recall by Ron Grainer, and its an absolute belter.
It came out on video in the early 80's on the EMI label. Well worth a look.
