Default Why do women in films ?

This is not a sexist thread (you could always balance it out with a male thread ) just an observation ,so why do women in films do the following ?......

Go to bed with there make up still on and wake up with their hair (mostly) all neat ?

Go to bed with no make up yet wake up the following morning with make up on ?

Have a tendency to borrow (or nick ) the male's shirt to hide all their bits n pieces even though a scene before they showed all their bits n pieces anyway ?

Have a tendency to borrow (or nick ) the male's razor so they can shave their legs ?

I am sure there are more questions like that above that some could add too or maybe I should run and hide now.

I was not sure wether to put this in the offtopic thread or this one,but seen as it is film related I thought this would be the best place.

Many of the filmic oddities regarding men and women's bedtime practices stem from the heavy censorship imposed on American films from the mid 30s to the late 60s (and even more recently than that for TV).

Early 30s movies can be facinating for their sexual frankness, but a stop was soon put to that, and British films had to follow suit if they had any chance of being seen on the US.

It was standard practice, for example, to show married couples having seperate beds!

And if the husband sat on her bed, he had to keep one foot on the floor.

I think that's becaue young ladies often look very sexy wearing men's shirts.

They use L-shaped sheets in all the scenes with couples in bed.
When they both sit up in bed the same sheet covers the woman's breasts but only comes up to the man's waist

Steve

Because they know the man's will actually be sharp, instead of ruined by being used to shave calloused skin off the heels of their feet

Maybe that is to stop them moaning even though they moaned quite a bit during it.

Might still have his boxers on but great contraceptionand did you ever think the moaning could be due to frustration as they cant do any thing with their undies on.

Why do women in films...
Always seem to be the passive victims of male violence?

Hmm...
