Default Wall of Death

Hi All
Just For amusement I want to compile a list of all the films with "Wall of death" sequences.
(This was the fairground attraction in which motorcycles and sometimes small cars were ridden around the inside of a wooden bowl until they were going fast enough to "stick " to the sides of the bowl.)
Can anyone help me,please.
so far I recall "Eat the Peach" from modern times. "Spare a copper" ??? with George Formby The one with the sabatuers.
& From the Usa "Roustabout" with Elvis P.

I also have vague memories of an old British thriller in which the baddie ,who works at a wall, dies on a bike just as the police are closing in (possibly at a speedway track).
Anyway any films anyone remembers would be helpful. I would like to see them all.
G.M

I think the old British thriller you have in mind is THERE IS ANOTHER SUN (UK 1950) with Laurence Harvey and Susan Shaw. It was released in the USA as WALL OF DEATH. Maxwell Reed played the biker.

There was also one of the Edgar Lustgarden Scotland Yard shorts called SCOTLAND YARD: WALL OF DEATH made in 1956

Does anyone have a copy of this episode from the Scotland Yard series, please?

Hello,
No, there is a Scotland Yard Mystery 'The Wall of Death' 1956, with Cyril Chamberlain, filmed in the Kursaal, Southend. Unfortunately it's the one episode that never turns up, so if anyone does have it I would like a copy as well.
Cheers, John.

Also there was George Formby's 1940 film "Spare a copper" - the saboteurs plan their dastatrdly deeds at a fairground's wall of death.

Best wishes

I love the scene in the George formby film where a series of posters flash up giving progress reports on the battleship, one of which states 'TOP SECRET BATTLESHIP LAUNCH TOMMOROW' some way to keep a secret.
