Default British drama about witches/Pagans?

Can anyone name any?

I have the Whicker man, I will be purchasing the Catweasel series soon, and I know of some cheesy American comedy films about witches but I am trying to think of British made dramas with this.

Witch finder general films can be included in this.

Thanks,

xx

Joan Fontaine in Hammer's THE WITCHES

BLOOD ON SATAN'S CLAW

Our very own John Llewellyn Moxey's CITY OF THE DEAD

ROSEMARY'S BABY, of course

Any good for starters ?

Thanks Bats, sounds a good one!

Can anyone tell me the one with Ollie Reed in? I think it was about the witchfinder general. It was medievel and about the persecution of witches anyway.

Ollie played some kind of cardinal I think!

The Pit and the Pendulum starring Lance Henriksen. Ollie has a supporting role as a Cardinal.

It's quite a laugh as I remember, but also gory!

Crikey, I remember that. Wasn't Robert Vaughn in it as well?

Well I dunno which one it is now.....the story is about two lovers who were torn away from each other, the girl was accused of being a witch and I think she was stripped naked in front of ollie as she was a witch and they were trying to find marks of the devil (so they said ).

No, but he did make a few films with Ollie at that time (Skeleton Force, Captive Rage).

The Pit and the Pendulum was originally supposed to star Peter O'Toole as Torquemada! Him and Ollie onscreen together would have been something to see...
