Default Supporting Short Films

Bit of a long shot does anyone remember a short documentary film that featured vatiety entertainers on the club circuit in 1971, it was the supporting feature to the first "On the Buses film. If my memory serves me correct the film might have had something to do with the grand order of water rats, Ben Wariss was in it as he was inolved with that organisation to my certain knowledge.

I saw this film on two ocasions as a support to the On the Buses movie but the third time I saw the On The Buses film in my hometown of Merthyr Tydfil I saw a documentary called,"The Year Of Sir Ivor" a documentary about a race horse who must have won the National or the Derby. I can even remember the twangy guitar theme music.

Anyone recall either of these short features.

Don't recall the film, but Sir Ivor was ridden to win the 1968 Derby by Lester Piggott, and is still rated as one of the great Derby horses.

Bit of a Bay Window, what??

Red face supporting feature

Thanks for the info, you have saved me from looking up info regarding Sir Ivor on Wiklopedia and you have jogged my memory about Lestor Piggott ridng the horse.

Many thanks

The film was called 'Top Of The Bill'. Also featured were Sally Barnes (Frank Randles girl friend?) and Wee Georgie Wood.
