Post Why are there no extras with the Will Hay DVD releases
As some of the Will Hay Films have been deleted and re-issued several times on DVD, I was wondering why items such as Posters, Stills Galleries etc have not been included, as films like Oh! Mr Porter for example surely deserve a more complete DVD release with extras.
Perhaps there is already a website with some of this kind of material available.

Probably someone somewhere thinks - and has decided that the idea of releasing extras on a 1930's film would cost too much. Maybe it would take a bit of effort, but I think having these extra items would be well worth it , especially for Oh! Mr Porter, as there is quite a lot suitable for a Special Edition.

Not to mention the 'documentary' 'Return to BugglesKelly' where someone explores the home counties location for OMP, interviewing (in an 'over-the-fence' way) a couple of the locals.

The following list is a possible idea of some of the suitable material that could be used as extras with the Will Hay films

Location Documentary - Oh! Mr Porter
Stills Gallery
On Location Stills Gallery - Oh! Mr Porter
Selection of Posters and other advertising materials
Will Hay filmed interview

I am sure there is more to be found but to make only the above available, would get tied up in so many complications regarding copyright etc and therefore put the cost up - whoever embarked on this exercise would have to give up in total exasperation.

Never mind at least we have most of the best Will Hay Films available on DVD
apart from 'Where's That Fire' but then that seems to be the copyright/ownership problem again. The only access to this film at the moment appears to be a recorded version from a TV broadcast.
