Saw this film yesterday 13/5/08 on satellite channel "Movies for Men". Lee Patterson is always worth watching. Had never seen this before and found it quite good in a 50's sort of way. Strange to see Peter Madden has one of the leading players. I logged onto IMBD to find out a little more about it and an incident that had puzzled me was mentioned. The climax of the film sees Patterson cornered by half a dozen coppers (including Madden) in the house where he has been keeping Ann Sears prisoner. Patterson draws a flick knife and the scene fades and we assume Patterson has realised he's cornered and given up. However, in the closing scene where Sears visits the jewellers with Madden, he has his arm in a sling. There seems to be dispute as to whether a fight ensued in the house and Madden was knifed, the scene being cut by the censors or the TV company, or whether the director just added the sling to suggest the fight rather than actually filming one. Anybody know the answer?

I noticed that myself and can only conclude there must have been a fight scene in the kitchen in which Victor Maddern was knifed. A good little film with some nice location shooting.

Just had the horrible realisation that I have re-named Victor Maddern as 'Peter Madden' - sorry folks. Bit of a memory blip on my part. Peter is, of course, another actor altogether.
Interesting to see DB7 didn't fall into the same trap!
