Default Pinewood redevelopment

Dear all,

What's happening at Pinewood Studios ? I understand from various sources that new backlot areas are being built, complete with standing sets, eg city street layouts, western streets etc and even a "Baker Street" . Also a new entrance has been built near the original Double Lodge. Any information anyone and is it ever possible to get access to studios such as "open days" .

Cheers,

Jamie Stuart

You could try sending a PM to "Lennox", he works at Pinewood.

This sounds more like 'tourist theme park' than actual film-making facility to me.....

This might be unrelated, but I understand EastEnders is moving to Pinewood.

There are plans to double the size of the site (called Project Pinewood) but also to build around 2000 houses in order to accomodate the extra personnel that would be employed as a result of the expansion. The local residents of Fulmer are opposing the plan.

You crazy idiots - my name's McGill!

Pinewood is such a fundamental part of British film history that anything that prolongs its existence is OK by me.
