Default On The Line
Does anyone remember an 80s TV series called On The Line? I think I do, but am not certain, and IMDB offers no great help other than to confirm that it starred Amanda Redman.

Was it about a car factory, possibly a minor version of The Plane Makers?

Has it ever been shown on recent tv?

Yes, it was based around a car factory. It was one of the earlier series made by Central television - ran for 13 weeks starting at the end of May 1982, they'd only started broadcasting in the January.

Aside from Amanda Redman, regulars included Mela White, Jeremy Young, Tariq Yunus and David Ryall.

Don't remember it ever being repeated. Have a vague idea there might have been a tie-in book and possibly even a competition (in the TVTimes, I guess) to win one of the cars.
