Ah! Of course, G.S probably stands for Gaumont-British Symphony.
Louis Levy composed the music for this film (and tons of other films) and started his career with film with Gaumont. He moved on to Gainsborough after Gaumont finished (I don't know if he left when they collapsed or he just left anyway). He remained a Band Leader all through his composing career.
Even though he no longer worked at Gaumont he kept the name for his 'band' (Gaumont-British Symphony Orchestra) which played well into the 1950's.
I can't prove it but it makes pretty good sense that if he has a band called G.S. and he did the musing for 'Millions'... you do the math :)
Hooray, I may have actually contributed something worthwhile from my brain full of normally useless facts! Hope it's right!
