The Shawshank Redemption shows that the way into the toughest criminal's heart is to give them a decent library catalogue...

"Mouth of Madness" by John Carpenter, the best film ever made talking about the relation between lectors and books !!...also it's a Lovecraft's inspiration, and not for childrens under 14 !!....

"Pulp" starring Michael Caine. The film is pretty good, Caine plays a pulp crime writer with best selling titles such as "My Gun Is Long" to his credit. He is hired to ghost write a biography of retired gangster played by Mickey Rooney and he narrates many passages from his own books in the film and gives a trashy "pulp" version voiceover as the events unfold around him.

Just thought of another, "Finding Forrester" with Sean Connery as a retired reclusive writer who helps a student with his writing.
