Smile Ken Russell's Treasure Island
Hi,
I am new to this so please excuse me if I am asking the obvious. Does anyone remember seeing Ken Russell's Treasure Island on TV. I remember watching it with my parents a long while ago and we laughed our socks off. Is it repeated on any cable/sky channels? Was this ever released on Video or DVD?

I seem to remember it being on on Christmas Day some years ago. It starred his then wife Hettie Baynes as Long Jane Silver and was quite entertaining. I watched it as an alternative to the usual dross.
Not sure if its on DVD though.
Just checked year - 1995.

Sounds interesting, I hope it is on DVD. Can't say I like all Ken Russell's work, but "TReasure Island" is a heck of a story !

I presume you know, Billy, that this is a somewhat curtailed, musical pastiche based on the original RLS story. Original songs I believe, none of which were particularly memorable. La Baines pranced around prettily though.
