Yesterday,watching the opening credits of Perry Mason and the Heartbroken Bride,I am certain I espied "Teleplay by Brian Clemens" or were my eyes deceiving me?

No deception. He wrote the original story as well as writing the screenplay with Gerry Conway.

He did a few Perry Mason scripts. See his IMDb entry.

Hi Marky -

You are not mistaken ; Brian also wrote two other PERRY MASON stories according to his filmography on IMDB. With his wealth of talent and experience it is little wonder that the Americans came knocking at his door. That's one impressive CV he has - possibly the most prolific TV writer there has been ? Certainly one of the best !
