There is also Frankie Howerd's six part comedy series set in WWII, Then Churchill Said To Me, which I don't think was ever broadcast on terrestrial tv, but was shown on one of the BBCs satellite channels.

It really isn't very good...

My favourite war tv drama is definitely A Family at War which covers pretty well every aspect of WW2 that a Brit could have got involved in - air, sea, desert, Blitz etc. War show I'd most like to see? Colonel Trumper's Provate War, supposedly the first WW2 sitcom with Dennis Price and Warren Mitchell.

And don't forget the Australian version of A Family at War - The Sullivans.

Wasn't there a series called The Charmer (possibly a second series about a family later in the 30s) starring Nigel Havers as an RAF type?

Well, if you told them I designed it, d'you think that might help?

Spike milligans Adolf Hitler, My Part in His downfall

The only problem with having an open mind is that others keep trying to put things in it...
