Default Colin Clark and Marilyn Monroe. An item??????/

Just watched BBC 2's documentary, 'The Prince and The Showgirl.....And Me', based on Colin Clark's diaries.

Can anyone enlighten me as to whether there was any ounce of truth in the revelation, made in the last few minutes of the programme, that Clark ( goffer extraordinaire) had a very brief, perhaps even plutonic relationship, with Marilyn Monroe during the shooting of TPATSG? The film was so full of 'tongue in cheek' dialogue that it was difficult to separate fact from fiction. I have also read somewhere that Olivier was said to have had an affair with MM, but after hearing of their studio relationship, I can only guess that it must have been a pretty volatile one!!

I'm fairly sure that it was only in his overactive imagination. That documentary is very much Colin's version of what happened. It wasn't supported by comments from anyone else.

Remember that he is the brother of Alan Clark (and the son of Lord Clark of Civilisation). So, like his brother's diaries, most of it should be taken with large quantities of Sodium Chloride (a big pinch of salt).
