Was one of them a thing called "Marianne Dreams"? No connection to the Catherine Storr novel or Paperhouse.

It was a mildly erotic French or French/Canadian flick about a girl who daydreamed.

I remember it (sad this is) for what certainly looked like a close up of the female genitalia.

I recorded it on the old Phillips system (half inch tape) and tried desperately to freeze frame it for my mates at school!

But now I can find no trace of it ever existing!

No, I have seen that and it isn't that. Les Tentations de Marianne is MUCH hotter than the one I'm thinking of!

I'm probably confusing the titles though.

This wasn't really a sex movie - a straight drama with some sex in rather.

The "naughty bit" appears after a fantasy scene in the girl's place of work - she is a dowdy put upon junior clerk and fancies the high powered boss - she imagines him making love to her on the desk but has to snap out of it as he comes back into the room suddenly. We see that she has obviously been... ahem ... "letting the fingers do the walking", as it were... She adjusts her dress and the camera comes in for a close up...
