Can anyone identify a comedian/actor for me?

In 'The Wrong Arm of the Law' a petty-criminal is aprehended red-handed and puts up an
unexpected fight with the police, because he thinks they are the IPO (impersonating police officers) gang.

When questioned by 'Nosey' Parker (Lionel Jeffries) he gets very confused
and bursts into tears - it is a priceless moment in an immensly funny film.

Who is he - no official credit, but I recal him from TV in the 60s
I keep thinking it's Joe E.Davis - the name may be simililar, but I just
can't get it.

Any ideas?

Al Gleason

It's wasn't Mario Fabrizzi was it? I believe he was of the Italian nobility, but I could be wrong!

Good morning boys.

Mario Fabrizi isn't the guy the original poster is thinking of. In the film Fabrizi is a driver of a laundry van that Peter Sellers' character, Nosey Parker and the German welder open by accident before the real target comes along.

You are dead right Holland. The only one I can think of who breaks down and cries is Bernard Cribbins.

Of course this will give me an excuse to watch the film again - not that I need n excuse!!

Good morning boys.

It's Joe Gibbons - just seen him in a 'Scotland Yard' film of 1958, courtesy of Mysteries of Edgar Wallace - cheers mysteries.

Good morning boys.
