Default British crime films list ??

Hi,

does anyone know if there is a comprehensive list of British crime films availble on the net or even a book?
Any help would be much appreciated as I am hoping to start a project on the genre and would love to resource more obscure British crime films.

Thank you Simon

How about British Crime Cinema by Robert Murphy et al
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0...4503204-5831818 ?

I have a copy and have referred to it on numerous occasions. Not a masterpiece, but it covers the territory and has a list at the back of the book.

Cheers
Nigel

Thanks Nigel,

I've got that book already but it looks like I'm going to have to get little bit of evidence to find what I want.I'ts going to take me longer but I am determined to do it.
Watch for a publication in about 5 years.

For the Ealing Studios 30s, 40s, and 50s decades I would recommend the book Forever Ealing because as well as detailed information it also has a comprehensive list of everything made by the studio, which included the famous The Blue Lamp, the first appearance of Jack Warner as PC Dixon (who of couse gets shot and killed by a young robber, Dirk Bogarde).

"...the chairman of Littlewoods stores made a Keynote speech!"
