Yes, with Stewart Granger & Jean Kent.
I haven't seen that though so I couldn't say how ludicrous he was.
In Blimp & Peeping Tom he's really just a face in a crowd, one of many, and he doesn't have any words to utter so he doesn't have the chance to do anything ludicrous.

I saw a clip once which showed him, if I remember rightly, playing some sort of gipsy. I checked, subsequent to my first posting, and discovered that he played a character called "Juan"!
