Saw part of this on Cable TV in Spain a couple of years ago and would quite like to see the whole film. Does anyone know where I can obtain a copy???

Are you sure it was called The Peacock Summer? Or was it The Peacock Spring (1996) based on the book of the same name by Rumer Godden. Made into a TV movie or a 2 part mini-series (it can be shown either way). Directed by Christopher Morahan with a mainly Indian cast.

Smile The Peacock Summer

PBS showed it on air in the US a few years ago, but I think it was originally a BBC film... it is one of my ALL TIME favorite movies! I think if you google "PBS" and "Thirteen" you can find one of their webpages where they "sell" merchandise in exchange for a donation. Usually it's kind of steep, $50 or $100US for the DVD, but these tend not to be available anywhere else. This movie was so worth it! Hope this helps!
